World Digestive Health Day was celebrated every year on May 29. This year the theme of the World Digestive Health Day 2019 was “Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer”. The day was celebrated by World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) in collaboration with WGO Foundation (WGOF) and the aim of the celebration was to raise awareness and provide resources and tools for gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. World Digestive Health Day was started in 2003 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO).
