Explanation:
International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace is observed on 24 April annually to support the UN Charter and its principles of resolving disputes among nations through peaceful means. To promote the day, the UN General Assembly convened a one-day high-level plenary meeting on the same day.This date was designated as International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace on 12 December 2018 by the UN General Assembly through resolution A/RES/73/127. The day was proclaimed to support and promote the three pillars of the UN – Peace and Security, Development and Human Rights.
