The Sindh government has hinted at delays in exams in the province due to the prolonged closure of educational institutions. Earlier the Sindh government had announced the proposed schedule of the matric and intermediate exams. As per the schedule, the annual exams of SSC part I and part II will be commenced from 20th May whereas the annual exams of HSSC part I and part II will be held from10th June 2021.
The provincial minister said a committee has been set up to review and compile schedules for the academic year 2020-21 and 2021-20 including examination and holidays. “The next meeting of the steering committee has been scheduled for January 30.”
Postponement Of Exams
According to the education minister, the educational institutes should be provided some time so that at least 60% curriculum will be taught to the students. The exams may be postponed for one or two months so that the students can be prepared for the examination. For this purpose, a committee has been formed to discuss the matter with the other educational authorities and suggest recommendations about the commencement of the exams and schedule for the new academic session for all schools, colleges, and universities.
