Jazz Day is chaired by Audrey Azoulay, Director general of the UNESCO along with UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbert Jeffrey Hancock.Hancock is an American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer, and actor. 2019 edition of International Jazz Day was launched in Australia. As a part of the celebrations, on 29 and 30 April, community service initiatives, education programmes and a wide range of jazz performances were presented in partnership with the Melbourne Conservatorium, University of Melbourne, featuring more than a dozen celebrated jazz masters.
