2. The Afghan Taliban want to join CPEC

What’s going on? According to a report in Dawn News, Interior Minister, Sheikh Rashid, said the Afghan Taliban want Afghanistan to be included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Wait…what? Rashid said Pakistan is proud of its friendship with China. According to Dawn news, the Taliban also said China is “their most important partner,” in terms of rebuilding Afghanistan, which is currently facing economic hardships.
