The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has designated two Chinese companies Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corporation as national security threats. FCC Chairman Ajit Pai stated that both Huawei and ZTE have close ties with Chinese Communist Party and China’s military apparatus.
