The World Food Safety Day (WFSD) is celebrated on 7 June to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage food-borne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development.The 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York in 2019 has adopted a resolution and declared this day for the first time.
