Shafqat Mahmood Announces Educational institutes directed to reduce fee by 20 percent due to COVID-19

Federal government has notified a 20 percent fee concession for closed Islamabad education institutes for the month of April and onwards in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. According to the notification, the private educational institutes are informed to grant 20% concession in the monthly fee of the students. The decision will be effective from April 2021 till the reopening of the institutes. The notification directed the educational institutes to provide fee concession from April till their reopening. However, the notification shared by Shafqat Mahmood read that it would not be applicable to educational institutes charging a monthly fee of less than Rs8000.

Fee Concession Policy

Due to the third wave of COVID-19, the educational institutes have been closed and on the directives issued by the government, the students have been attending the online classes in order to complete their coursework before the conduction of the exams. Further the fee challan already issued or paid for April/May 2021 in contrary to the mention fee concession policy should be adjusted in the fee of next months.
