The educational institutes are opening in phases. From January 18th, 2021 matric and intermediate level education system has now been resumed. However, students of nursery primary and middle level will also be called to attend the classes from the last week of January. While talking to the media the Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid clarified that schools from across the country may also be closed again if Corona SOPs will not be implemented in the schools.
The first wave of the Coronavirus in Pakistan, almost all the activities including educational activities were completely halted in Pakistan from March 2020. Educational institutes had gone through closure for a long time. However, in September the educational institutes were resumed again. But, unfortunately, due to the increasing number of Corona cases throughout the country, the educational institutes were closed again. After reviewing all the situation the government of Pakistan has decided to reopen the schools, colleges, universities, and all other institutes from January.
