MDCAT 2020 to be conducted by UHS online on ECAT pattern.

University of Health Sciences UHS Lahore and UET Lahore have agreed to develop a joint strategy to conduct an online placement test for admission to medical and dental colleges from Punjab MDCAT for the 2020 session due to corona virus.

Prof Javed Akram VC UHS said that We will benefit from UET’s experience in conducting online MDCAT for admission in medical colleges. Both the universities will develop a joint strategy in this regard. Prof. Javed Akram said that 80,000 candidates are expected to participate in MDCAT. A mock test will also be conducted for the candidate’s practice at the end of this month before the actual ECAT. The principles of social distance will be taken care of inside the computer lab.

Both universities also agreed to share the Entrance Test Question Bank. VC UHS said that approval from HEC for a common strategy for the online entrance test would be obtained. Punjab University will also be part of this project, said Prof. Javed Akram. Special SOP’s for the placement test is ensured with regard to Corona.
