HEC Chairman Announced That Universities Would Not Open On 7th July, 2020.

In a talk with a news channel, HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri announced that universities would not open from 07 July. He confirmed that it is a piece of fake news.

However, Chairman HEC also mentioned that the plan was to reopen universities on July 15, as the Government had initially planned. HEC issued timelines and guidelines in this regard, which was according to the timeline provided by the Government. However, as of now, we still don’t have the exact date of the reopening of universities. HEC has asked the Government to suggest a suitable date in this regard.

HEC chairman said that HEC directed the universities to prepare all the possible things to follow the SOP’s. He said that university administration must prepare themselves even if HEC doesn’t know the exact date. So when the government announced its decision, then there will not be any delay on behalf of universities.
