The Higher Education Commission has announced the schedule for the registration of the Law Admission Test (LAT). Higher Education Commission (HEC) is conducting Law Admission Test (Law-LAT) for candidates desiring to get admission in a five-year undergraduate LLB Degree Program in HEC/PBC recognized public and private sector universities/institutions and their accredited affiliated colleges. HEC Law Admission Test will be conducted in major cities of the country. Students can select any center of their choice.
Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criterion for the Law admission test (LAT).
- The students who have passed the higher school secondary certificate or equivalent education are eligible to appear in the entrance test.
- The students who have appeared in the HSSC final examination or equivalent and awaiting results can take the test.

Date of Examination
- HEC Law Admission Test will be held on November 28, 2021. The last date to apply for Law admission test is November 15, 2021.
- The candidates who register through the online registration process will be able to download the roll number slip from the HEC portal and registered email address a week before the commencement of the test.
- The Email/SMS will be sent to the candidates about the test date, time, and venue. While filling the online application form the candidates have to enter valid information.
- On the test day, the candidates have to bring the printout of the roll number slip and original CNIC.
- The law admission test will be conducted in the major cities and the candidates can choose the examination center from the available list.
Registration Process
- The candidates have to do the online registration through the web portal of the Higher Education Commission.
- The application submission process comprises two steps that include profile completion and application submission. The candidates are required to enter the correct details while filling the application form.
- Only submitted applications will be considered for the LAT and the incomplete/unsaved application forms will not be entertained.
- The test fee is Rs.1000/- that can be submitted in the branch of Habib bank limited and the candidates are notified that bank draft and pay order will not be accepted. The LAT test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable in any case.
- The applicants have to submit the copy deposited fee challan through courier to the HEC headquarters, Sector-8 Islamabad on or before the last date of registration.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to mention the CNIC number at the backside of the fee challan.
