A notification has been issued by the Government of Sindh School Education and Literacy Department to inform the students regarding the decision taken by the provincial government. The Sindh Government has made the announcement about the winter vacations for the public and private schools/colleges. The decision had been taken in the steering meeting held on 9th December 2021 and the competent authority had also approved recommendations about the winter vacations in Sindh.
Winter Vacations In Sindh
According to the issued notification, the education institutes will remain closed from 20th December 2021 to 1st January 2022. The students will resume the academic activities from 3rd January 2022 in all the schools and colleges of Sindh. It is expected that the Sindh government had announced the winter vacations due to the new wave of the coronavirus pandemic as it has been said to be highly transmissible among individuals. However, the Punjab government has not made any announcement regarding the winter vacations in the public and private schools of Punjab.
The Decision of the Balochistan Government
The Government of Balochistan had also earlier announced the winter vacations in schools across the province. The Secondary Education Department had issued the schedule for long and short winter vacations in the public and private schools of Balochistan. As per the notification issued, the long winter vacations were announced for the winter zone from 15th December 2021 to 28th February 2022 and short winter vacations were announced for the summer zone from 22nd December 2021 to 31st December 2021.
