Government College University has issued the schedule for the undergraduate entrance test. The candidates who had earlier applied to the offered degree programs are informed to check the provided schedule. The schedule has been announced for the candidates in 27 disciplines as the university has notified the students that Higher Education Commission’s Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT) will not be adopted by the GCU for admissions this year. The admission for the undergraduate degree programs has been closed now and the university will now conduct the entrance test and interview to select the eligible candidates based on merit.
Schedule For Entrance Test
The Vice-Chancellor GCU, Prof Dr. Asghar Zaidi said that the undergraduate entrance tests will be conducted from 28th August 2021 to 1st September 2021. The schedule for each department varies so the candidates are required to follow the schedule provided by their respective departments. Moreover, it has been ensured that there will be proper implementation of SOPs during the conduction of the tests to minimize the risk of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. It is pertinent to mention here that the students apply on the reserved seats of sports, co-curricular activities and reserved seats have not to appear in the entrance test in order to secure admission. The university has also announced the trial schedule for the candidates that want to get admission based on the co-curricular activities. However, the qualifying candidates from the entrance test have to appear in the interviews that will be held from 13th September 2021 to 15th October 2021.

It has been also said that the university had eliminated the discrimination between regular and self-supporting students, and now all the students will be eligible to apply for the scholarships can also avail other facilities such as hostel accommodation and transport services.
