CSS Screening Test

The FPSC has announced to conduct the CSS screening test in 2022. The candidates are required to follow the instructions issued by the concerned authorities related to the competitive exam. According to the announcement made by the commission the test will be held in the month of February. The main purpose of the screening test is to select the talented and eligible candidates that can join the cabinet of Pakistan to perform the assigned task. The syllabus and the other details regarding the test have been provided to the candidates. The test will be MCQs based and there will be no negative marking. The candidates are required to do the preparation according to the issued CSS syllabus and in the MPT test compulsory subjects are included such as Urdu grammar usage and translation, English vocabulary, grammar, usage and comprehension, general abilities: basic arithmetic, algebra & geometry, logical problem solving, analytical abilities and mental abilities, and general knowledge: everyday science, current affairs, and Pakistan affairs.

Important Instructions

The FPSC Chairman Zahid Saeed has said that MPT will be valid only for the same year’s CSS exam and will not be counted in the marks determining the final merit position of the candidates. The candidates having at least second division in bachelor’s degree and between 21 and 30 years of age are eligible to apply to take the exam. The test will comprise 200 MCQs of one mark each and 200 minutes will be provided to the candidates to solve the test. To ensure transparency the answer key will be uploaded on the same day by the commission so that the candidates can check it. Moreover, the candidates will be also allowed to take the carbon copy of the test along with them.
