Education Institutions to reopened on September 15: Education Minister.

It’s official: the nationwide educational institutions will reopen on September 15 after the corona virus induced five months closure. Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Mr. Shafqat Mahmood announced that educational institutions shall be reopened from September 15. Universities and schools will be allowed to call staff on campus after eid for training purposes.

Ministry of Education will prepare SOP’s but provincial Governments will be allowed to modify SOP’s. Shafqat Mehmood said educational institutions would have to clean up premises and train staff about SOP’s for corona virus prevention and control. He warned that any school or college found to be violating those procedures would be closed down.

The government has also decided to allow educational institutes, organisations and boards etc. to reschedule examinations that had been delayed in March — in July before Eidul Azha, Mahmood said. SOP’s will have to be followed and different proposals were being considered to decide the measures that will be put in place. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood also said that exams will be conducted in the open air, outside exam halls.
