All educational institutions to reopen in first week of September.

According to sources, the decision was made in a meeting presided by the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood along with the provincial education ministers.A meeting was held on 8th July, 2020 in which the federal education minister shafqat mahmood and the all the provincial ministers participated to devise the plan about the reopening of schools and to discuss the standard operating procedures.

Education ministers on Wednesday have agreed on reopening educational institutes across the country in first week of September with strict implementation on standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

During the meeting, it was decided that corona virus situation will be thoroughly monitored before opening the institutions.

The final approval will be taken in National Command Operation Center (NCOC) meeting on 9th July.

Sources said the meeting decided to reopen schools with all the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in place. “Schools will be reopened after taking a look at the corona virus situation in the country. The final decision to reopen schools will be taken by the National Command and Control Centre,” sources added.
