Explanation:
A massive earthquake of 7.4 magnitudes struck 297km northeast of Tokyo, Japan on March 16. Around 2 million homes were left without power and transportation links were affected. The earthquake occurred in the same area as the one that caused the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster. Though a tsunami warning was issued initially, it was lifted later by Japan’s Meteorological Agency.
