2. Father suspected of killing daughters and grandchildren

What’s going on? A father in Pakistan, Manzoor Hussain, is suspected of killing his two daughters, Fauzia Bibi and Khurshid Mai, and their four children (his grandchildren) by setting their house on fire. Mai’s husband also died in the blaze, but Bibi’s husband was not home at the time. One of the women reportedly married against Hussain’s will.

The details: Bibi married Mehboob Ahmad 18 months ago in what has been described as “a love marriage.” However, her father was against it. After the fire incident, Bibi’s husband, Ahmad, said his four-month-old son died, along with Mai’s three children, who were two, six, and 13 years old.
