The federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood has announced the important decisions regarding syllabus 2022. According to the statement issued by the federal education minister that every effort will be made to ensure that the entire syllabus for all classes is completed by April/May so that the exams can be conducted on time according to the schedule provided. Moreover from the next academic session, there will be no smart syllabus, and matric and intermediate annual exams will be conducted from the entire syllabus.
Smart Syllabus
For the academic session, the government had announced the smart syllabus for matric and intermediate exams 2021. The decision had been taken to facilitate the students during the coronavirus pandemic as the educational institutes remain closed for an extended time period due to which the students could not complete the entire syllabus before the conduction of the exams. The candidates were appeared in the exams as per the schedule and now have been waiting for the declaration of matric result 2021 and intermediate result 2021. Moreover, it has been announced that all the students of matric and intermediate will be passed this year as it is not possible for the government to arrange the supply exams during the COVID-19. However, the result will be declared according to the schedule and passing marks will be given to the students who obtained less than 33% marks. It has been clarified that the passing policy has not been announced for the students of the 9th class and 11th class.
Reopening Of Educational Institutes
The education minister has also said during the meeting of the national command and operation center that widespread vaccination has been taken place in the education sector, so the educational institutions should reopen as soon as possible so that the candidates can continue to study. A recommendation regarding this matter will be made to NCOC so that the decision can be taken about the resumption of the academic activities.
