  • Schools in Sindh to reopen on August 23: Sindh’s Education Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, said schools in the province will open starting on Monday, August 23. However, schools will reopen with 50% attendance and are required to follow strict COVID-19 prevention measures. Also, only schools where 100% of the teachers are vaccinated by Monday can reopen. Parents need to submit their vaccination certificates at schools. Random COVID-19 tests will also take place. On July 24, the Sindh government closed schools across the province due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases.
