Federal Government is working to introduce the uniform education system in the country. A suggestion is under consideration to end British O-Level and A-Level system in the schools and introduce a uniform education system throughout the country. All schools in the country shall be certified equally.

It is very interesting to know that schools offering O-Level and A-Level system in the country are top schools and mostly the elite class of the country prefers to send their kids to these schools. It will be interesting to know how this elite class react to this decision of the Government if implemented. Also the schools like Beconhouse, City and Roots might feel their future is at stake, as the most important attraction they offer is of British syllabus and following Cambridge examination system.

The Government is also working to introduce the innovation in Madaris Education system and to bring it at par with traditional school system. It is suggested to introduce four new subjects in Madaris Syllabus. New subjects shall include English, Mathematics and Science related subjects. It is pertinent to mention here that new subjects shall be introduced without changing the existing syllabus of the Madaris.

Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood has also said that Government is working to introduce Uniform education system in the country. He said that the government wanted to introduce a system under which students of government-run institutions and those of madressahs could land good jobs and avail handsome opportunities.

He said there should be five to six core subjects which should be taught in all educational institutions of the country.

The minister underlined the need for presenting the message of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in an effective manner so that students could be attracted to it. Chapters of Iqbal Society should be established in schools and colleges.
