Last month, he said\u00a0the govt didn&#8217;t have enough resources to deal with the\u00a0economic costs of a major shutdown.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Current restrictions:\u00a0<\/strong>So far, Pakistan is pursuing a &#8220;smart lockdown&#8221; policy, meaning, short-term restrictions in specific areas with high COVID-19 infection\u00a0rates. The federal and provincial govts have announced mask requirements, along with restrictions on gatherings and public transport.
