KP&#8217;s Chief Minister took notice of the incident and said the family would get justice. This incident sparked protests and shutter-down strikes in Kasur.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Looking ahead:\u00a0<\/strong>Around two years after Zainab\u2019s death in 2018, the National Assembly passed the Zainab Alert, Response, and Recovery Bill, which aims to speed up punishments and investigations in child abuse cases. Sindh police also launched the Zainab Alert Mobile app to keep track of missing children cases that have been reported or solved. Ali said he was with two women friends. They left another friend\u2019s birthday party together. Ali dropped one woman friend off at her girls\u2019 hostel, while the other woman was still with him in a car. Suddenly, a group of around 10 men on four motorcycles surrounded the car. The men reportedly shouted \u201cbahar nikaal\u201d (i.e. come out). Ali said the men looked 15 to 25 years old, and had a \u201cbarbaric look in their eyes.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Then what happened?<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>Ali floored the accelerator and tried to get away. The motorcycle men caught up with them near IBA\u2019s boys\u2019 hostel and surrounded the car. They banged on the car\u2019s window screaming \u201cLarki Ko Bahar Nikaal\u201d (i.e. bring the girl out).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Did they escape?\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Yes. Ali and his friend are in shock, but unharmed. Ali thinks things could have taken a turn for the worse if the motorcycle men got a hold of his friend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>How is IBA taking action?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>IBA\u2019s head of marketing and communications, Haris Tohid, said they have informed the university\u2019s security personnel, police and Rangers.
