She reportedly had a court marriage six months ago and was living with her husband. According to lawyer, women&#8217;s rights activist, and founder of Digital Rights Foundation, Nighat Dad, Shaheen is the second woman journalist to be killed in Pakistan within\u00a0the last 10 months. According to Pakistan People&#8217;s Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the federal govt is pitching in PKR 300 billion, while the Sindh govt is contributing more than PKR 800 billion.
