The theme for the year 2019 is \u201cActing together to empower children, their families, and communities to end poverty\u201d. This year marks the 27th anniversary of the declaration by the General Assembly. The day aims to recognize that all people must come together to end poverty and discrimination in order to build a sustainable future.
